The Taliban Ministry of Interior has confirmed the killing of a civilian in Badakhshan province

Bayan News – Abdul Matin Qanni, spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Interior, confirms that a civilian has been killed by Taliban forces in the Darayim district of Badakhshan province.

The spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Interior stated on Sunday (May 6th) that this incident occurred due to the misuse of a number of individuals posing as Koknar farmers.

Qanooni added that this event took place when Taliban forces went to the Darayim district to destroy the Koknar farms, and the local residents attempted to set fire to Taliban machinery.

In response to this incident, the residents of Darayim district in Badakhshan province have been engaging in extensive protests for the past two days.

It is also reported that the Taliban forces have detained six of the protesters.
