Bayan News – A German police officer who was wounded by the knife of an Afghan citizen in the city of Mannheim died in the hospital on Sunday evening (June 2).
The Afghan assailant’s knife had hit the German police officer in the head and neck.
The attacker’s name is reported to be “Salman A.” and he is a 25-year-old native of Herat, Afghanistan, who had been living in Germany since 2014.
The German government authorities have declared this incident as a terrorist act.
