91 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Air Strike in Southern Gaza
Bayan News – International media have reported that in an Israeli army air strike on a refugee camp near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, 91 people have been killed.
The Gaza health ministry officials announced on Saturday (July 13) that in addition to the 91 killed, 300 others were injured, which is the highest casualty toll in recent weeks in this conflict zone.
Reuters also reported, citing local residents, that the Israeli air strike in the area was like an earthquake; one of the residents said: “I couldn’t even tell where I was or what was happening.”
He told Reuters: “I left the tent and looked around, all the tents were destroyed, body parts were everywhere, elderly women were lying on the ground, and small children were torn to pieces.”
Meanwhile, Israel has stated that the target of this air strike was Mohammed Deif, one of the Hamas commanders.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a press conference that it is still unclear whether Deif was killed or not. But he said that “in any case, we will reach all the Hamas leaders.”
