The Confrontation Between the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry and Afghanistan’s Political Representations in the West

Bayan News – Zalmai Rasoul, Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, says that this embassy is continuing all its consular and diplomatic services without interruption.

Mr. Rasoul told reporters on Tuesday (July 30) that he will not be put under pressure by the Taliban and that the consular services for refugees will continue as before.

The Afghan embassy in London has also issued a statement in response to the Taliban’s position. This embassy said that the provision of services to Afghan citizens residing in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland is continuing as before.

On the other hand, the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry announced today that 13 political and consular representations of Afghanistan, including in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, are acting arbitrarily without coordination with this ministry.
