2024 U.S. Election Debate; Trump: I had annulled the Doha Agreement

Bayan News – Donald Trump, the former president of the United States and Republican candidate, states that he annulled the Doha Agreement because the Taliban did not act according to its terms.

The electoral debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for the 2024 elections, took place early Wednesday (September 11) according to Afghanistan time.

In this debate, Trump stated that he had annulled the Doha Agreement because the Taliban failed to meet the provisions of the pact; the agreement specified that the Taliban needed to take certain actions, but they did not, and for this reason, the contract was rescinded by the United States.

He also harshly criticized Kamala Harris regarding the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, adding that not a single responsible U.S. official was dismissed.

Trump stated: “If I had been president, the war in Ukraine would not have happened, and Iran would not have financed 21 terrorist organizations; that country was isolated during my presidency.”

Trump mentioned that the Democrats act against Israel, Arabs, and the Middle East, and if the “Democrats” remain in power for another two years, there will be no Israelis left.

Trump bypassed the former Afghan government.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris clearly stated in this debate that Trump bypassed the Afghan government during his presidency and negotiated with the Taliban.

The current Vice President of the United States, in her first electoral debate with Trump, said that Trump invited Taliban leaders to Camp David at that time.

According to Harris, this action by Trump indicates that he did not value the dignity of the presidency of the United States.

Harris also stated that she agreed with Biden’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan.
