Women Entrepreneurs: Our Products Are Not Selling
Bayan News – A group of women entrepreneurs participating in the 31st Agricultural and Livestock Products Exhibition in Kabul say that not enough attention is being given to the marketing of their products.
In interviews with reporters, they stated that given the current conditions for women and girls, it is necessary that serious attention be paid to expanding their economic activities and marketing their products.
The 31st Agricultural Products Exhibition in Kabul, inaugurated on Wednesday (October 16) by the Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, featured dozens of women and girls, including businesswomen, displaying their products.
Some of the women participants in the exhibition said that such events provide a market platform for them to sell their products and that more focus should be placed on creating these opportunities.
The exhibition showcased agricultural and livestock products, processed goods, handicrafts, agricultural machinery, solar power equipment, and other local products.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of the interim government, a total of 263 booths were displayed, 56 of which were dedicated to women’s handicrafts.
Taliban officials emphasized the importance of using domestic products in the country and urged both domestic and foreign investors to invest in the agriculture sector and in the use of local products.
