Taliban: ISIS members responsible for the massacre of Hazaras in Daikundi were killed and arrested

Bayan News – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban government, stated that ISIS elements involved in the massacre of Shia Muslims in Daikundi province were killed or arrested in operations carried out by their forces.

Late Sunday night (October 20), Mujahid wrote on the X platform: “Today, a wild, seditious group was eliminated in Ghor province. This group was the same one that attacked Shia civilian compatriots in central Ghor on the 9th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, causing more than 20 casualties.”

The Taliban spokesperson further explained that this group had also been involved in several attacks in Ghor, Kabul, and Bamyan.

The Taliban official added: “Since last week, special Mujahideen forces of the Islamic Emirate launched operations against them, and with the help of Almighty Allah, as a result, several members of this group were captured and confessed to their crimes.”

Zabihullah Mujahid added that the operation on Sunday targeted an ISIS center located in “Marko” in Ghor province, resulting in the killing of the group’s leader and another key member.

The Taliban spokesperson again clearly stated that this group was directly led from ISIS centers in Balochistan, Pakistan.

He recalled that previously, several associates of ISIS elements who were fleeing towards Balochistan, Pakistan, were identified and arrested by Taliban forces.
