More than 65 killed and wounded in today’s explosion in Badakhshan; ISIS took over

Local sources in Badakhshan province say that after the suicide attack at the Fatiha ceremony of Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, the former vice president of this province, 15 people who participated in this ceremony died and 50 others were injured.

A source from the Badakhshan provincial hospital added that the number of dead in this event is likely to increase.

On the other hand, Moezuddin Ahmadi, the head of information and culture of Badakhshan, says that Safiullah Samim, the former commander of Baghlan province, also died in this incident.

The ISIS group has taken responsibility for this event.

The explosion took place while a large number of people were traveling to participate in the Ahmadi Fatiha ceremony.
