Haqqani to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation: The Problem of Girls’ Education Will Be Resolved
Bayan News – Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior, states that the education of women is a necessity for Afghan society and this issue will be resolved by considering the conditions.
The acting Minister of Interior met with the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Kabul today, Tuesday (September 4).
According to the ministry’s newsletter, Mr. Haqqani expressed gratitude for the intentions and efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and emphasized that Afghanistan is taking steps towards progress every day.
The acting Minister of Interior, stating that education is a common need of Muslims, requested the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to show patience and perseverance in this regard.
Haqqani said, “The education of women is a necessity for our society, and this problem will be resolved by considering the conditions.”
On the other hand, the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation praised the achievements of the Islamic Emirate in the past two years and stated that in addition to ensuring overall security, significant progress has been made.
According to the ministry’s newsletter, the members of the delegation highlighted in this meeting that the Islamic Emirate has been able to maintain Afghan stability through better financial policies and has successfully fought against criminal activities, prevented cultivation and trafficking of drugs.
The delegation further added that the issuance of decrees by the leader of the Islamic Emirate has led to positive changes in the field of women’s rights, preventing girls from oppression and injustice.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation continued to emphasize in this meeting that education is the right of both men and women and stated that in addition to religious education, modern sciences pave the way for the progress and development of the country.
It should be noted that the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will stay in Kabul for one week from now.
