More than 80,000 People Affected by Acute Respiratory Illness in Afghanistan
Bayan News – The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently stated that over the past month, 84,000 individuals in Afghanistan have fallen ill with acute respiratory illness.
The organization added in a report this morning on Tuesday (February 5th) that the number of cases of acute respiratory illness in Afghanistan has been recorded in the past two weeks of January.
According to the WHO statistics, from January 1st to January 27th, there have been 160,756 cases of acute respiratory infections reported in Afghanistan.
According to the organization, among those afflicted with this illness, 383 individuals have lost their lives.
The cause of this disease has not yet been determined, and the Taliban Ministry of Public Health has not provided any information on the matter so far.
