Muttaqi: Isis does not exist in Afghanistan

Bayan News

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting foreign minister, said that Daesh has been suppressed in Afghanistan and no longer exists.

Interviewed by national television, he added: “Daesh does not exist in Afghanistan, there are no different groups in Afghanistan, if anything happens here, it will be imported from outside Afghanistan. “This is a good sign for us and you that Afghans have no problem between themselves.”

The acting foreign minister made the remarks while saying that in the past year, several terroristattacks have been carried out by Daesh in stitches from Afghanistan.

In the latest case, ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack on a gathering of journalists in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province.

On the other hand, umRokhan has reacted to recent remarks by a US general who said the US would face a terrorist attack after six months on Afghan soil.

In the interview, Muttaqi explicitly stated, “Alhamdullah is not a threat from us at all borders to anyone who can count on it. “There is no such thing, and security has improved compared to the past, if someone says that, they are either unaware or what destination they have.”

Recently, there have been reports of Daesh militants in parts of Afghanistan, raising concerns among regional countries and the international community.
