UNAMA female employees were banned from reporting work in Nangarhar province
Bayan news
The Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced the ban on reporting of female employees of this organization in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan.
This organization said in a tweet on Tuesday evening (April 4) that the work reporting activity of its female employees in Nangarhar province has been prevented.
Expressing concern over the continuation of these bans, UNAMA has announced that the United Nations is unable to provide life-saving aid without the presence of female employees.
This is despite the fact that the Islamic Emirate has imposed serious prohibitions against women and girls throughout the country after taking over Afghanistan.
This government policy against women has had a negative impact on humanitarian aid and most international organizations have stopped or severely reduced humanitarian activities in this country.
