OCHA: Afghanistan is facing the most severe humanitarian crisis in the world

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan (OCHA) says that the country is facing the biggest and most severe humanitarian crisis.
This institution announced on Wednesday (June 7) that currently, two-thirds of the population of Afghanistan need humanitarian aid.
According to OCHA, based on the revised budget, in 2023 aid agencies will need $3.2 billion to help 22.3 million people.
These concerns are raised while the international community has reduced its aid to Afghanistan after the Kabul caretaker government imposed restrictions on girls and women, as well as the failure to form an inclusive government.
In recent months, the United Nations has announced that if humanitarian aid is not provided to the people of Afghanistan, the humanitarian crisis in this country will be catastrophic.
