Islamic Emirate Forces Detain a Bride and Makeup Artist in Takhar Province

Bayan News – It has been reported from Takhar province that Islamic Emirate forces have detained a bride along with a makeup artist from the city of Taluqan, the capital of this province.

A source added to the media that the bride and makeup artist were arrested on Friday (August 3) from the fourth district of Taluqan.

According to the source, the bride had secretly gone to the beauty salon, and after her arrest, her wedding ceremony has been disrupted.

It is said that the bride has been released from the custody of the enforcers of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, but the makeup artist and groom are still in detention.

The enforcers of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice have asked them to have a member of the Islamic Emirate vouch for their release, but they have so far been unable to find anyone.

Local officials of the Islamic Emirate have not yet officially commented on the matter.

The leader of the Islamic Emirate, in a decree, has banned all activities of women’s beauty salons throughout Afghanistan.
