Bayan News – Officials from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs have announced the official visit of Amir Khan Motaghi, the acting head of the ministry, to Turkey.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on Saturday (October 28) on the X network that Mr. Muttaqi will visit the Afghan Embassy in Ankara and the consulate of Afghanistan in Istanbul during his trip to Turkey.

According to Balkhi, the acting head of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also meet with Turkish businessmen, government officials, religious scholars, and Turkish trade companies.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported Mr. Muttaqi’s meeting with Sinner Oghlo, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Afghanistan.

In a newsletter published by Balkhi, it is stated that the UN Special Coordinator expressed his happiness regarding his visit to Afghanistan and emphasized the expansion of interaction between the Kabul interim government and the international community.

During this meeting, Muttaqi once again referred to the lifting of sanctions and stated that the frozen assets of Afghanistan and the sanctions on the officials of the Islamic Emirate are the main obstacles to constructive interaction between the current Afghan government and the world.

Mr. Oghlo recently traveled to Kabul and held meetings and discussions with prominent political figures in Afghanistan, such as Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Hamed Karzai, and senior officials of the Kabul interim government.
