Bayan News – Officials from the Taliban Ministry of Interior have confirmed a suicide attack in the vicinity of the Nimruz provincial office, stating that the assailant was eliminated before reaching the target.
Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, wrote today, Monday, January 14, on the X platform that the suicide attacker intended to enter the Nimruz provincial office.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, with the identification of the suicide attacker, the explosive materials with him detonated, resulting in three security forces personnel being injured.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this incident.
A similar incident had previously occurred in Balkh province in northern Afghanistan.
Last year, a suicide attacker, claimed by the ISIS group, targeted the Balkh provincial office, resulting in the death of the governor of the province.
