Taliban Ministry of Interior Announces the Destruction of 76 Drug Factories in Farah Province
Bayan News – Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Interior, states that the Anti-Narcotics Police and the Security Command of Farah Province have destroyed 76 drug factories in the province.
The Ministry of Interior spokesperson wrote on the X platform on Wednesday evening (February 6th) that this action was carried out in separate operations.
According to Qani, as a result of these operations, 114 individuals have been arrested.
He further added that 11 poppy fields have also been destroyed in the Kokanar district of Farah Province.
After coming to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban banned the cultivation, production, and trafficking of drugs in the country, and following the issuance of a Taliban leader’s directive, drug cultivation and production have significantly declined.
