Following the sinking of a ship off the shores of Turkey, at least 22 refugees have lost their lives.

Bayan News – Turkish media, citing authorities in the country, have reported the death of 22 refugees on the shores of Turkey.

According to these reports, Turkish officials have stated that the boat carrying these refugees capsized off the shores of “Çanakkale,” resulting in 22 fatalities and the rescue of four others.

It is still unclear how many individuals were on board the ship at the time of the sinking, and the Turkish coast guard continues to search the area.

According to BBC reports, the nationality of the refugees on board the boat has yet to be determined.

Earlier, at least 50 refugees had also lost their lives in the waters of Italy, with some Afghan refugees being among those affected by this incident.
