Ismail Heniya’s Sister Killed in Israeli Air Strike
Bayan News – Arab media have reported that the sister of Ismail Heniya, the head of Hamas’s political bureau, was killed in an Israeli army air strike in western Gaza.
According to the reports, the Israeli army bombed the Shati refugee camp in western Gaza on Tuesday morning (June 25), killing 13 civilians, including Ismail Haniyeh’s sister.
Heniya had previously lost three of his children in an Israeli air strike last April.
Meanwhile, all international and regional efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the enclave have failed, and due to a severe shortage of humanitarian food aid, some of the displaced are facing famine.
In the eight-month battle between Israel and Hamas, close to 40,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed.
