Mujahid: Representatives of Russia and Uzbekistan support the Taliban’s position in the Doha meeting

Bayan News – Zabihullah Mujahid, the head of the Taliban delegation at the third Doha meeting, has reported on his meeting with the special representatives of Russia and Uzbekistan.

Mujahid’s meeting with representatives of these countries took place just moments before the official start of the third Doha meeting.

He wrote on the X platform about his meeting with Zamir Kabulov, the Russian President’s special representative for Afghanistan: “Today in Doha, we had an important meeting with the special representative of the President of Russia, Mr. Zamir Kabulov. We discussed the expansion of relations between Afghanistan and Russia.”

The head of the Taliban delegation further stated that Moscow supports the position of the current government in Kabul.

Meanwhile, Mujahid stated regarding his meeting with Esmatullah Ergashev, the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan, that Kabul and Tashkent have several economic projects together.

Mujahid said that Uzbekistan has also expressed its support for the Taliban’s position at the Doha meeting.
