The Taliban announced that the value of Afghanistan’s trade last year was over $10 billion

Bayan News – Ahmad Allah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Taliban, says that the volume of Afghanistan’s trade in the past one year has been more than $10 billion.

This Taliban trade ministry official said in a press conference on Wednesday (July 31) that last year they had $1.8 billion in exports and more than $8 billion in imports.

The Taliban Deputy Trade Minister also stated that the ratio of exports to imports last year was 18.82%.

According to this Taliban official, in the past year, the price of raw materials has decreased by up to 27% due to the facilitation of trade, price control, and customs exemptions.

Dried fruits, figs, raisins, saffron, onions, and lead ingots have been the most important export items of Afghanistan in the past one year, which have seen significant growth.

He said that Afghanistan’s coal exports last year decreased from $500 million to $174 million.
