Bayan News – Mullah Baradar, the economic deputy prime minister of the Taliban, arrived in the city of Termez on Thursday (August 29) at the official invitation of Uzbekistan.
The press office of the Taliban’s economic deputy ministry stated that Mullah Baradar traveled to Termez to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the “International Trade Center of Termez.”
In this ceremony, Mullah Baradar emphasized that the opening of the commercial center between the two countries marks an important step towards enhancing trade relations and regional cooperation. This center will increase investment opportunities, trade and labor relations in both countries, create a new market for products and productions, and accelerate overall economic growth.
According to this Taliban official, this is not just a commercial center; it is a new chapter of friendship, cooperation, and partnership between the two countries that will facilitate long-term welfare and development for the residents of both nations.
The economic deputy prime minister of the Taliban stressed that the International Trade Center of Termez will not only have a positive impact on the economic relations of both countries but will also serve as an important economic hub at the regional level and a trade gateway for Central and South Asian countries.
This is the first joint commercial center between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan that has been practically established at the initiative of the Taliban.
However, despite not recognizing the Taliban, the government of Uzbekistan has expanded its relations in the political and economic arenas.
