Zalmay Rasool: The Embassy of Afghanistan in Britain will officially close
Bayan News – Zalmay Rasool, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Britain, says that this embassy will be closed at the formal request of the host country on September 27.
Zalmay Rasool wrote on Sunday (September 8) on the platform X: “This decision has been made based on the necessity outlined by the authorities of the host country.”
The Ambassador of Afghanistan in Britain also continued to write: “We thank and appreciate all colleagues, citizens, and related institutions that have cooperated closely with the Embassy of Afghanistan in London during this time.”
However, the British government has not officially issued a statement regarding the closure of the Afghan embassy.
The British government is moving to close the Afghan embassy while recently, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Taliban, issued a directive to dismiss 12 ambassadors and consuls in European countries, the U.S., Canada, Britain, and Australia.
