Ukrainian Drones Attack Russian Nuclear City

Bayan News – International media have reported that Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the nuclear city of Kurchatov in the Kursk region early this morning, Friday, September 1st.

Roman Starovoyt, the governor of the region, announced on his Telegram channel that experts are present at the site of the drone attacks and are assessing the extent of the damage.

It is said that two Ukrainian drones attacked the city of Moscow and the Kurchatov area, and one of these drones was intercepted by Russian air defense.

According to published reports, these drone attacks resulted in the destruction of a non-residential building and no casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, the press office of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant stated in a statement that the plant continues its normal operations after the drone incursion in the city.

The statement from the office read, “The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is operating normally. The background radiation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant and its surrounding area is at natural levels.”

This is not the first time in recent months that the Ukrainian army has launched drone attacks on various cities, including Moscow, the capital of Russia.
