More than 10 women’s tailoring shops blocked in Mazar-i-Sharif city

Bayan News – Officials of the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Balkh province have blocked more than 10 women’s tailoring shops today, Monday (October 30), due to non-compliance with the orders of the Islamic Emirate.

Sources say that these women’s tailoring shops were located in the bustling Zalal Trade Market in Mazar-i-Sharif city, and it had been instructed that these shops be relocated to the Khadija Kubra Market, which is dedicated to women.

According to sources, the officials of these women’s tailoring shops argued that they did not move due to a lack of customers in the women’s market.

It is said that these women’s tailoring shops operated in a separate hall in the Zalal Market and there were no male visitors in this market.

Local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Balkh province had recently established a women’s market called “Khadija Kubra” in Mazar-i-Sharif city and had ordered that all women’s economic activities be transferred to this market.
