Afghanistan and Pakistan have once again blocked the Torkham border crossing

Bayan News – According to reports, the Torkham crossing was closed this Sunday morning (January 13th) for the passage of cargo trucks from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Noor Mohammad Hanif, the head of information and culture in Nangarhar, told the media that Pakistan has requested visas from Afghan drivers. He added that in response to Pakistan’s action, Pakistani drivers without visas have not been allowed to travel within Afghanistan.

This comes as the Torkham crossing has been closed multiple times in the past year due to tensions and disputes between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Simultaneously, the Kabul-Islamabad relations have recently become tense over political and security differences.
