25 Killed in Israeli Army Shooting in Gaza

Bayan News – The International Committee of the Red Cross has reported that in the shooting by Israeli army forces near this organization, 25 people were killed and at least 50 others were injured.

According to the reports released, the Israeli army on Friday (June 21) opened fire on the refugee camp near the Red Cross office.

The Red Cross has stated that as a result of this armed conflict, the office and facilities of this organization have been damaged.

The Gaza Ministry of Health, which is run by Hamas, has also announced a different number of casualties from this attack. This ministry says that at least 25 people were killed and 50 were injured in this attack.

The ministry also adds that the Israeli army targeted the refugee tents in the Al-Mawasi area, which were located around the Red Cross base.

The statement of the International Committee of the Red Cross states that in the afternoon of Friday, “heavy-caliber projectiles landed a few meters from the office” and the residences of this organization.

The International Committee of the Red Cross also says that this attack is one of the bloody security incidents in recent days. The organization added: “We condemn incidents that endanger the lives of humanitarian workers and civilians.”
