The Taliban Inaugurates a Blanket Production Factory in Kabul
Bayan News – Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Economic Deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister, inaugurated a blanket production factory in Pul-e-Charkhi, Kabul, on Sunday (November 17).
Speaking at the factory’s opening ceremony, Mullah Baradar stated that with nationwide security and reduced corruption, favorable conditions have been created for medium and small-scale investments in Afghanistan.
The deputy prime minister further noted that, to support domestic industries and specifically this production facility, essential production machinery worth 100 million Afghanis had been purchased under a contract to ease the financial pressures and reduce investment costs.
Mullah Baradar emphasized that the Taliban aims to increase investment levels, reduce Afghanistan’s dependency on foreign imports, and create job opportunities for citizens within the country.
According to available information, approximately 930 million Afghanis have been invested in the blanket production factory, which will have a daily production capacity of 1,000 blankets.
Additionally, it is reported that this factory has created employment opportunities for 900 people.
