The emphasis of the Presidents of China and Tajikistan on the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan
Bayan News – Xi Jinping, the President of China, and Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, in a bilateral meeting, emphasized the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
After participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, the President of China traveled to Tajikistan and met and talked with Emomali Rahmon, the President of this country.
The joint statement of the leaders of the two countries stated that they support a government with the presence of representatives of all ethnic, religious and political groups in Afghanistan.
They also considered an independent, united and neutral Afghanistan important for the interests of the regional countries.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting was hosted by Kyrgyzstan, and the member leaders of this organization, including the President of China, the President of Russia, the Prime Minister of India, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other member leaders, participated.
Although Afghanistan is a member of this organization, for the second time, the Taliban delegation was not invited to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting.
In addition, the leaders of China and Tajikistan are taking a position on Afghanistan while the Taliban has good political and economic relations with China; but the Afghan embassy in Tajikistan is still under the control of the Taliban’s political opponents.
